    image.jpeg Hello everyone,

So as some of you may know. I got a 5 ft 350lt tank from my aunt. This is what I have at the moment, I'd love to go planted at some point... But we have a Goldie, 3 neon tetras, and 4 guppies 2 of each sex... Ohh and how could I forget about turbo the snail.

Nice to see the tank up and running. If you go planted you will have to remove the gold fish as he will munch on everything.

Nice man lucky fish, I would move the filters to the left side panel of the tank. And I would rather get rid of the goldfish as they dont do well in heated aquariums

Extension cable or extend the cable bud looks odd in the middle. Only my two cents worth

As @hviviers75 said, get an extension cable and move the stuff to the corners. I'm also leaning towards rainbows like @Pierré Schoonraad. They look awesome between plants.

@Farren, very nice but, I do agree with what has been said above and it will look much nicer

You can then put some taller plants in front of the heater and filters to conceal them a bit
I also think rainbows are stunning fish and as far as i know, good community fish

@Farren go check out @Pierré Schoonraad 's tank in the Tank of the month comp for October. It will give you good inspiration and what to aim for.

Thanks guys I will do that today. Wanted to ask if 2x 10w led spot lights will be enough light to grow plants??? I have no idea what Rainbows are but will do my research now hahaha

On the leds spots, no. It's more for looks. 3x25w tubes or similar will do the job for low to medium plants.

@Farren, looks better already but try and put your heaters neatly upright on the left corner
Then take your thermometer and place it on one of the side panels so it doesnt stare you in the eye

Then when you can, you can put some tallish plants on the left corner hiding the equipment a bit
