Okay not the best of pics - the camera kept on fogging up in there :) But hopefully this will keep the vultures at bay :D

It's not all the tanks, but you get the general idea I'm sure.

I'm afraid to tell you :D Put it this way, in the back 'bathroom area' is 500L holding tanks - we fill them up on a daily basis....... Each tank, except for 2 of them, have heaters in and the holding tanks have a pump and geyser element running all the time. It's scary!

Gavin's already suggested converting it to a) a koi pond, b) a grow-out tank, c) a guppy breeding area d) a daphnia breeding area. That excludes the many suggestions given by all the TASA members who come here :D

gives new meaning to swimming with the fishes

That is a very imposing/impressive setup, the fishroom looks like an LFS more than a fishroom for hobbyists, lol, thats ALOT of fish and water, wow

is there a fishy in every tank? i could see glimmers of angels in some of the pics

Yip every tank is full at the moment - except for the 1m cube which we will hopefully be filling up this weekend. Other tanks are on order at the LFS to put below some of the stands as well.

It's amazing to see the feeding of the small angels. It's like the water surface is coming alive all at once

From the looks of things you guys enjoy the setting up and maintenance more than the actuall watching. You should maybe turn it into a business of some sort?

I can give you two ways to save on electricity though:
    1. Skylights. They'll give you tons of natural sunlight and you can reduce your lighting bill.
    2. Solar geyser. It'll cut down dramatically on your heating requirements.

It might seem like a big capital layout, but you'll be saving so much in the long run that it'll pay for itself very quickly.

It is a business of some sort Whipme....with all those angels it HAS to be. We provide the local wholesaler with angels once a week. Some angels are sold to TASA members along with other fish, hardware, foods etc etc. :D

Hmmmm - food for thought - I'll look into your suggestions. Thanks :)

    lol, my bad :)
I was just wondering why all the dark curtains, then I realised that just like my place, you have to keep them closed to keep out the prying eyes in the daytime. A skylight gets around that problem. And it shouldn't be too difficult to build one yourself either. A bit of glass/perspex connected to an aircon duct tube (nice shiny aluminium) and then a hole in the ceiling board with another piece of glass/perspex.
