@llewellynkearney - A combination of paranoia and the fact that I want the tank braceless. :amuse: But the price will determine what I do.

Update time: I hooked up 4 T5's in my tank. I am now running 2x6500k Sylvania and 2x8800k Osrams. Hope it doesn't upset my GBR too much. Wrigglers have been brought to the front of the tank and are resting on some wood.

Now I need to sort out my diy co2...

Wrigglers became free swimming yesterday. Couldn't see them this morning but I think the parents have hidden them at the back of the tank somewhere as they are not as distressed as the last time the fry went missing.

Ram fry dissapeared the day I wrote the previous post. Trilineatus Corydoras have laid eggs all over the tank. Looks like I may have 2 pairs in the 5 I have.

@<<Nemo>> - Yes they are and thanks again. I just wish I had seperate tanks for all the fish trying to breed in my 2 tanks! I noticed the 2 Julli/Trilineatus in my 300l were depositing eggs last night.

Last night my GBR's laid eggs again! This time directly on the substrate. Let's see what happens this time...

GBR's have ripped into the 2 Angels in this tank. Poor Angels have tattered fins and were pasted against the glass on the complete opposite side to the GBR eggs but the GBR's are relentless and go across the tank to hassle/nip them! I have divided the tank in half with driftwood to try and help.

Should I put anything in the tank to sort the Angels fins out or leave them? Maybe a teabag?

The bloody GBR's are determined to be on the Angels side of the tank as well. Got home last night and found they had worked out how to get through the driftwood barrier! Poor Angels were hiding on top of my internal filter. Restacked the wood and rocks and this morning they were again on the other side of the barrier!

GBR's eggs are still looking good...

Maybe you should move the angels........ or use a perspex barrier.

I was thinking along those lines last night. Even a spare piece of glass will do the job. I will take internal measurements of the tank tonight and get something tomorrow to sort this out. Never seen this level of aggression in my GBR's before. Angels can't get anywhere near the eggs!

I haven't managed to successfully seperate the Rams from the Angels but the Rams do seem to have calmed down slightly. Rams have moved the fry/wrigglers around their half of the tank quite a few times. The latest spot is on top/behind my corner filter...hope they don't get sucked in.

Noticed my Angels starting to clean a piece of driftwood so maybe this pair will breed soon?

Me too. They are microscopic. Thought they had been eaten this morning then realised the pile of debris on the substrate was actually them
