Cool man. Will start hatching when I get home. I have always had accidental spawns in the past.

Aaarghh! Bloody fish! The gouramis did the business (not very well as the male had the female turned face down instead of upside down) on Friday night. Saturday evening the whole nest and eggs were gone. I see him still poking the "nest" and blowing bubbles but I think he is preparing again, rather than caring for anything. Hopefully they will get the process right soon.

I also started feeding them BS as well on Sunday.

Sorry to hear. But he will go at it again. I guess i was lucky to mine to spawn the first time.(with the new male). I think you jinxed me the other day when you miss understood me about the amout of betta fry. I lost almost all of them:( there are still a couple and they don't seem to grow. So dunno what to do. I think i must try and get some micro worms and liquifry no1, but non of the lfs in bfn got any

Oh no man! Any idea what happened? I've found them to be very slow growers.

Have you tried finely crushed flakes/baby fish food? I had the same problem with BS. They were bigger than the fry. My Hydra enjoyed them more than the fish!

@llewellynkearney - All I can say is aaaaarrrggghhhh! I don't know whats up with them. I see white eggs where the male is hanging around but not very many and no idea if they are fertile. Everytime I see the male and female together it all seems very clumsy or aggro!

The eggs should hatch in bout 24 hours. If not then it is infertile

I don't think it's fungus Ryno? I think they are probably infertile. This is the males first attempt at this so not too stressed at the moment. Of my 3 previous fry I can say with confidence that 2 are definitely male and are colouring up beautifully. Still no "feelers" yet.

Ok, so the Gourami are still messing about!

The plants had got to the surface again so I've halved them. Wow these plants grow quick...

The male gourami died after many failed spawning attempts! I rescaped this tank a week ago. I moved 5 trilineatus corydoras and a recent batch of guppy fry to this tank from my 12l quarantine tank on Saturday. I will update with pics tomorrow...

Thanks @llewellynkearney. I am still waiting for my 3 Gourami fry to get big enough to breed with. I definitely have 2 females and a male. He hasn't got the feeler fins yet (pectoral) which he obviously needs to turn the female over. I'm trying to find out when they are breeding mature?

Current state that this tank is in. Starting to house the cutting from my 300l. I will probably need to change the lights to T5's and start dosing ferts and diy CO2. My wife is not going to be impressed :cheesy:
