    sitting looking at the tank and plants. you know what would actually look nice and will take little effort? something like a huge bospaatjie from lets say two 3ds from the one side at the back to 2 3rds to the other side of the tank at the front. then you can let all your plants grow. the bospadjie must get broader to the front (alot) wounldnt that look nice?

    I like the idea Ryno. I have decided to make this a bit of an experimental tank so I will give that a go. I will probably add DIY CO2 and stems from the 300l and use it as a bit of a grow out tank as well. It also triples up as my quarantine tank :blink1:

    @llewellynkearney - I hope so too.

    Really sorry to hear about your male. I lost my dwarf male after mine spawned which is why I'm left with a dwarf female and a sunset male. Wierd :wacko:. Seems to take it out of them. Was it bloated at all? Mine got dropsy!

    I could not see anything wrong with him. This is the second male i lost in the same way. Spawning. I don't know if anyone else here knows if this is normal or what. I'm glad humans aren't like that lol.

    There was a bubble nest when I got home last night and when I looked again it was gone. @llewellynkearney - What other fish, snails etc are in the tank where yours spawned? I have ramshorn and bladder snails in my tank that I have seen crawling over the bubble nests in the past. I wonder if they are going to be a problem?

    I actually do have a pile of Christmas Moss from my 300l in this tank which definitely has hair algae in it. Come on, spawn!

    She's really making him work for this. There was another nest there last night but he can't seem to get her to come over. Lots of chasing and flaring but nothing! She's on the far left of the tank and he's on the far right. When I looked this morning the nest was gone again. I started feeding them colour enhancing flakes to see if that might help.
