    Hi Guys,

Just wanted to ask your opinions of the Tertra-Plant 'Complete Substrate'?

    Is it any good?

    Would it affect water Parameters?

Will plants benefit from having this as aposed to having Pool Filter Sand?

    Are there any better alternatives?

I generally keep soft slightly acid water fish, so if that helps?

    Regards
    Big G!

Yer, at this stage I'm probably not going to use anything, too many complications, but I thought I'd ask in case it would actually help? I've heard of people using various products from Tetra, ADA, Tropica etc, and then of course there is the people who use potting soil or Shrub mix. I would be extra cautious around any Garden Centre Mix, as I have no clue what they have put in there!?

So thats why I was asking about one that is made specifically for aquarium use, avoid the issues of contamination and dodgy 'elements' creating problems and killing fish!

I'd also be interested to know about the likes of ADA aquasoil, and the Tropica stuff and any other makers stuff.

    Regards
    Big G!

haha! If only! I guess its expensive then!

If Cash wasn't an issue, I would have an Altum tank, a Leopaldi Tank and a Discus Tank, and an extension on the house with a breeding room (For The Fish, not me and the wife! 2 kids is enough thanks!)

    Cheers

ADA Soil is comparable in pricing to other brands available locally such as seachem and might actually land abit cheaper :D

ADA... Google Takashi Amano... Look at all his tanks. He created the ADA range... Then decide for yourself...
