    Hi guys looking for Tetra Ex 1200 valves , only need 1. Willing to drive a bit in CPT to get one

    That looks allot like the dophin velves so maybe if you don't get those ones you can then see if the dophin velves fit

    Thats a good point. I see there are a lot of dophin spares for sale in SA. Im just scared my local place wont accept the refund if it doesnt fit.

    If Dolphin works please let me know i have cable tied my valves for now > also a Tetra Ex 1200.

    Probably a good idea , the idea of lugging it doesnt seem fun :lol:

    You are going to find that the price for these things are stupidly expensive for a bit of plastic. I had this issue several times. I came up with a better cheaper DIY plan. Basically you can either use some ball valves that you would get in the irrigation department at a Builders or Leroy or Stewart and Loyds. Or if you look in your local chinese retail shop you can find some garden hose quick connects that have taps built it.

    Update: My lfs had a tetra ex1200 on one of the tanks , unfortunately the dophin spares were slightly too big

    you may have to DIY it a bit. I have used normal hose clamps in the past to secure the pipe. Just don't over tighten them. On the first option you would also need to get 2x nipples with a thread on one end to screw into the tap. Then simply join the tap on one side with a short piece of hose and a hose clamp direct to the canister outlet/inlet.

    c500 Dophin valves worked for me! Downside is my motor is now damaged from sitting in the garage for over a year uncleaned.
