Tetra complete substrate? anaerobic.....?

i started the tank against my better knowing in Jan with tetra complete substrate, ive got 5 x 30W tubes over 250L of water, i dose on a regular base with flourish, all the plants have gone pear shaped, from jan to the beginning of march the the plants were doing well and the vallis making lots of runners.

From Jan to middle march there were only 3 x 30W crappy aquarium ligths from the lps in there and the light was realy low and the plants were doing ok, when the trouble started i added another 2 x 30W 4000K osram coolwhite tubes. stil this is not making a difference, now with all the light the clown loaches are hiding.

now theres minimal growth and the plants are shedding leaves.

my 60L with my palm fiber peat, ive got to trim weekly!!!

now did the tetra substrate go anaerobic?

im considering redoing with pfp

 

Does the water smell like rotten eggs? Or does it smell like a fresh water fish tank?

If it stinks, then it's gone anaerobic... If not, then it's fine. Do the fish look like they are having trouble breathing or swimming erratically? What does the water look like? Is it clear or is it brown stained?

The answers to these questions will help diagnose the problem...

 

the water is brown stained and water changes is not changing this,

sometimes the fish gasp, but ive installed a airpump but ive got masive water movement wich should actualy be enough to airate the water.

the smell: none that i can notice, will defnitley go and smell tomorow since this tank is not on my current premises.

water maybe a bit murky aswell
