temporary moving of tank

    hi i have a problem,i need to move my fish tank so that my bedroom can be tiled now this will be two days then can move my tank back again.what is the best and stressless way of doing this don,t want my fish to die
    this will only be next year january planning in advance

    Get a large drum----Scratch that.
    How many fish, how big are they. What filter do have ATM?
    If they could all fit into a 200L drum, then get one and just put them in there with heater and filter. They will be a stressed.

    + Stop feeding for a day or so before and then during the ruckus - if fishie dont have food in stomach - cant produce amonia...
    Also get yourself some Seachem Prime(and some Stability to boot) and you should be a-o.k...

    got a pair gouramis,10 neons, a few guppies, 5 pepper cories,and 4 swords.and clown loach

    nice combination of fish, please bear in mind that the swords are actually brackish, shoaling fish, need to bekept in groups of minimum 5 and brackish water, clown loaches are schooling fish and you should keep no less than 5, preferably 8.

    wht size is your tank?

    oh and if your neons and guppies start getting nipped or killed, its either the sword or the gouramies.

    what type of gouramie are they?

    If you get one of those big plastic storage containers, you could put the fish in there for a day or two, together with the heater and filter. Make sure it is properly cleaned and has never contained any sort of chemicals.
