I see that the Forum is located on an international server. Germany if I remember correctly. Will the Forum ever move to a local server ? When I only have local cap left i can't get my Daily TASA FIX lol. Its Really not the end of the world (I can always just use my Phone) just something I picked up on.

The costs to host locally are like 10-100 times more than internationally. By the time (if ever) they are the same you won't have to worry about international/local cap (only such a thing in SA...). Unfortunately web hosts assume everything will be international, so can't get like 10 times as many local gigs etc.

Ive got 7 gig int and 7 gig local after the int is gone. But sometimes my cap gets eaten away. no idea why. i mostly browse . Sadly like lots of people my age (21), we are bored without internet.
Thanks Rory. I thought that might be it. we are really getting ripped off in this country when it comes to internet and servers, among other things

DUDE... what kind of surfing are you downloading to hit a 7 gig cap????

I'm guessing a lot of pics and videos?? My OFFICE runs on a 6 gig cap, and we hardly ever hit 4 gigs! And that's 13 computers that are always online!

AS an I.T Technician I have seen Some Clients hit the 50gig mark in one month and when we did some checking we found that there is a virus that downloads junk to somewhere and it uses between 700mb and 4gig in one night. So Franna you should maybe have your PC checked out, remember there is no such thing as an anti-virus program that will stop all viruses.

We're a family of six with an Australian exchange student who speaks to her family on skype a few times a week.... and we have a 1 gig cap. My parents are cheap  at least they don't hesitate to buy more.

yeah, i've become addicted to this site, i'm always on it at work, don't have an internet connection at home, that really sucks, it bites the big one...but i do use my phone now and then, but my bill at the end of the month is a sure fire way to stir up a heart attack...i would also hate to see this site close down...

Franna, why didn't you just get a copy of Windows & from one of your friends? It must have taken a while to download...

I should think TASA is in the green, is this not why we have sponsors? That's why we all need to support the sponsors.

Yeah TASA is "in the green". Before sponsors I basically paid out of my pocket but I resell hosting so it wasn't too bad. It gets bad when you have to move to a VPS... MASA is on it's third different VPS or so and costing quite a bit...

Seems to be sponsorship renewal season now so things might get shaken up a bit...
