    Hello all.

I am in need of some help.

I have a spare 3ft tank(just bigger than a 3ft) that is sitting under a table in "storage". This was going to be my marine tank but after setting it up and getting most of the parts, I realized I should have drilled it for a sump.

So here's my problem...Really wanting another large tank for my small fish (neons and danios) I ended up in this problem.
Do I spend R300 on making a canopy for this spare (already have a cupboard to put it on) tank and then buy a 4 ft tank (I know someone that has a spare lid and stand) for marines (I would drill siphon holes into the 1 side of the tank).
Or should I buy another 3ft for my neons and danios for R400 and spend R500 on making a stand and canopy for the spare tank and turn it into a marine?

I can get the 4ft for about R1500 plus lid and metal stand. Or 3ft for around R450 plus lid.:blink1:

I hope you guys understand.....HATE MTS!
    Regards
    Firefly

P.S. I have 3ft sump ready and waiting also in storage.

Get a drilled 4ft and then use the just bigger than 3ft as the neon tank. Do sump holes not go in the base of the tank normally for marine ..

    Nice problem to have.

So I went to work today to get some gravel for setting up my 3ft. I get there and there are two tanks lying outside. I ask my boss and he says I can have them.
The 1 is a 3ft with a cracked bottom pane with lid and started for light.
The 2nd is a 1.5ft with lid and gravel.

So happy. Gonna fix the cracked one and use it and then use the slightly bigger 3ft for my marine.
