Ok when it comes to maths I suck, I need some help here.

I would like to build a 800L. How do I work out the LxHxW. Now, please bear in mind that I am a bit shorter than the average person, so I don;t want to take diving lesson and yes I want a sump under the tank. I also do need a bit of height on the tank but like a said no diving please.

    Thanks

    A standard 1.8m x 60 x 60 gives you 648 litre.....an undertank sump based on a standard 4 foot will add another 200ish liters... 6-cm depth not to much,even for short arms...

    1.8m to long? 1.5 x 75 W x 60 deep gives you a wopping 675l....

I might add that you do not want to go deeper than 60cm for various reasons. One being 12mm glass is expensive, and another being light penetration if you ever want to add some plants.

Oops, I added 12mm just as a number, don't go on that!! There exists some nice lookup tables on thekrib and aquatools to calculate glass thickness, but I'm sure from 60mm you will go a lot thicker than 12mm, not going to look it up right now
