    Good Day all.

We have a 180L tank that we have setup and as far as I'm concerned, if has terrible circulation.

The outlet is RIGHT above the inlet.(see pictures). I tried to take a video to illustrate the various small particles and plant peices that simply float around, barely moving at all all over the tank.

The red circle on the left is the inlet and the circle at the top is the outlet which is a long defuser.

Please tell me if I must upload more photos for illustration.

    What are your opinions?

Hi @Bjorn Riedel and welcome to the forum!

I hope the more technically orientated folks can help, but to me it seems inadequate, yes.

Details on your filter specs could help?

    Hi @Bjorn Riedel

    Welcome to the forum
Yes I do think you have problem
Your inlet goes right to the bottom. of the tank but all the rocks around it are not allowing the debris to get to the intake
Due to the way the scape is laid out, you will have to play around a little until you get the right balance
You can either try move the outlet to the opposite side of the tank or move the inlet more to the middle where the wood ends a there is a bit of a gap
You could also try a small wave maker on the opposite side of the inlet

Hi @Bjorn Riedel and welcome to the forum.

As @MariaS said your decor is in the way of the intake. I personally don't like wave makers for the simple reason that if I'm going to be pushing water I might as well be filtering it so maybe a powerhead on the right wall blowing water onto your hardscape which will then push debris to your intake.

As @A new day mentioned, maybe share details of your tank and filtration, could also be inadequate filtration for your tank size

I can't comment on the circulation, but what kind of fish are those biggish ones? (not the guppies)

Thanks! Maybe it's the Rams I'm seeing, or gourami (though never seen blue gourami). Will go google them. They just look the perfect size, shape and colour for a feature fish in one of my aquariums I'm planning. The blue, bright yellow, and pale yellow fish in the first pic.

Those are the GMO Tetras, so genetically modified colours. They are quite entertaining with how the swim around and juggle their food in their mouth so that no-one else steals the food.
