    Hi there

I don't know if its the same in Cape Town, but here in Durban fish like Frontosas have recently increased in price, therefore less and less people were buying them, so some places got them in less regularly. They're avaliable, sure, just rather pricey for the size they come in at.

We've had 2 fronts for 11 months now. No-one seems interested in them here. Oh, and Welcome!

    Hi jameel

I really don't see the point in you reviving posts from years ago, other than for advertising your services, in which case this is against our forum rules as you are not a sponsor.

For all the Malawi and Tang guys, please rather contact @Jack Stone

Mods, please remove the above contact details.

    Hi @armien

You should head over to Stone Aquatics - Aquarium Livestock Specialists or contact me via PM - we have got a large selection of Lake Tanganyika species for sale in various price ranges.

We currently have 3-4cm Leleupi in stock at R75 each.
And F1 Tank Raised Cyphotilapia sp. North Kabogo (Frontosa) at R285
We don't have any Tropheus in stock at the moment but we have a huge selection of F1 tank raised stock available from Pisces Fish Farm Stone Aquatics - Aquarium Livestock Specialists
If you are looking specifically for wild caught fish or species that aren't otherwise obtainable we can source those too!

Best of all is we're based in Cape Town too and you're welcome to come and have a look.

PS. @Fonkie and @SalmonAfrica not all Frontosa and even Tropheus are rare and expensive. Some variants are easy to breed or have already been commercialized and are pond bred in huge numbers on farms in the Middle East, this stock is available cheaply to wholesalers and hence the public are able to pick them up at a good price. For instance, the price on a Frontosa can vary between about R60 and R2500 or more to somebody who values a specific fish highly, their appearance also varies.
