    hey guys, so i have just been wondering, most of the threads that i have come across with regards to breeding are awesome, but it seems that no one have really been breeding tanganyika species, apart from frontosa, leulupi, bricardi, julidochromis, caudopunctatus, brevis,multies?
    Or who is busy breeding what tangs?:idea:

    Tanganyika species are not so popular in South Africa when the time I was breeding them, but if you are looking around for good quality species pm Altum and see what he could possible import for us. Tropheus species are good to breed but you would requirement about a 2m tank and good rock-work display.

    @Naathir,
    @keith1964,

    As I said in the other thread, it is a pity that Tangs are difficult to come buy for you guys.

    IMO they are much nicer than Malawis which seem to be a lot more popular.

    I myself am crazy about Tangs, i never hesitate to pay any price if it is something that i want, i just think that the guys that have the ability eg LPS to bring more variety of tangs in, granted that they have to stick with the laws of the land, but im sure that there are many of us that will be willing to pay for them.
    or maybe @Reedfish you can get some for me and we can arrange shipping? never attempted it before but willing to try.

    @Naathir - you know what I'm breeding - and have most already.
    Should have some decently sized Regani soon - or did I see some in your photos there? - I'm still waiting for a pair to develop.

    When you coming for your Shellies?

    Wow @Rowland - nice Cyprichromis types you have there... large groups? In species only tanks? Furcifer is also tops but not quite as cool.

    Really cool @Rowland - No photos for the cichlid people? Have you got some rocks in those tanks as well? They should reproduce without intervention as you may know.
    Just let the females spit into the rocks and make sure there is enough food for the fry. From the size of the Nigripinnis I saw at @Altum they are probably ready to breed?

    What do you feed them? Lots of brine shrimp?
    Is that Microlepitodus the picture you posted a while back asking for ID? Beautiful fish, hopefully they'll reproduce for you.
