Tanganyika and Malawi Cichlid Imports 2013
Landing September 2013, all payments must be in by 26th of August 2013

Tanganyika species include various Cyphotilapia (Frontosa) including Blue Zaire variants, many Tropheus and Cyprichromis (Leptosoma) species and variants, Altolamprologus (Calvus and Compressiceps), various sand dwellers and other oddities. The Malawi cichlid list is most dominated by Aulonocara and Copadichromis species and variants but also includes the Steveni Taiwan Reef, Elongatus and Lethrinops.

You can view a full list of species with pricing and online ordering system at Cichlid-Forum.co.za - South African Cichlid Forum

    Hi there,

Would just like to thank TASA and everybody else involved in advising me and helping me advertise over the years and especially this shipment.
A big thanks to all buyers for putting their faith in me and allowing me to make this shipment happen.

Most of the species landed in very good health and a lot of breeding went on in the first week after landing.
Full cash-back was offered to all customers for DOA (Dead on Arrival), going above what our policy stipulates.

I have opened sales for a second shipment which I expect to land mid-late January.

Get your orders in ASAP before you need to replace a tire or buy a new geyser, get YOUR priorities straight! Hahaha!

    Howzit all,

January shipment has been delayed until April, payments to be in by 30th March 2014.
Hoping we can make this second shipment happen so I can move on to another supplier and bring in more species.

A few more images to spark some interest.

Lets get this ball rolling again - just a couple boxes to fill.

Just to clarify on DOA policy - we do get credit for the listed value of the fish and are able to partly refund you for any fish that are undeliverable.
Flight time should be halved this time around and we do make provision for small losses - very few fish went undelivered in the last shipment and full refunds were offered.

Prices, sizes, availability and order form can be found here:

Shout if you run into any issues.

    Cheers,
    Jack

Last week to get in your orders and payments for the Tanganyika and Malawi cichlid imports.
Availability list has recently been updated so have a closer look at what you may have missed last time around.

Anybody who wants a challenging breeding project might have a go at 5 x Cyathoparynx foai Sibwesa adults (8-12cm) at the sex ratio of your choice for R1600 - What a bargain! Only two bags available!

If you've got a little bit of cash to burn have some some experience with Tropheus species - there are many very good looking variants available, they come at a price but again you can request sex ratios for larger fish - will you take the risk on a breeding group? Who dares wins.

And if you've got a monster tank around somewhere or plan on putting one in soon - a small 16 colony of Cyphotilapia gibberosa Blue Mpimbwe for just over 4k is a sure bet for a spectacular display! If you've ever seen an Mpimbwe, Chaitika, Moba or other such Frontosa you won't be back to the "Snakeskin" Frontosa from your regular pet stores. Many more variants available including Blue Bismark, Blue Samazi (on request), Blue Zambia, Nangu Neon and Bulu Point.

For something completely different, try a shell dweller with some males measuring up to 15cm, other males around 5cm along with the females - that's strange.
Large males form harems of females by collecting shells and building piles, more shells = more females for them... these guys can stand up for themselves in your average Tanganyika rock dwellers aquarium.

Last but definitely not least, don't forget the little Sardine cichlids....

Any place we can still find 'Quality' africans, especially peacocks and haps in Jhb?

Found someone in Cpt, but not gonna be very worthwhile shipping here.. as the order would be too small

Aquarium Centre (Kenilworth) has been doing some good imports recently of Rift Lake cichlids. You can pop in, or maybe see if what they put up on their Facebook page is what you're looking for.
