T5 Lighting

    It's easy....

    a single 24W T5 of suitable output (and appearance -for your own pleasure )
    Consider AquaStar, GroLux, or generic daylight lamps from well-known lamp manufacturers incl. Philips, Osram,Sylvania

    the lamp is ~55cm. Enough space ontop, or in your hood?

    Also petshop, Black ABS plastic canopies are not suitable for mounting high output lamps, the heat, condensation etc, are not a good combination.

    Of course you'd want to use good ventilation, if you can't get waterproof T5 lampholders as well.

    Hi robgurr

    The simple answer for tanks not taller than 50cm water column is always 2 x T5's the length of the tank, with some decent reflectors to get an even spread of light.
