The second one looks more like a S. eupterus, the other one is definitely not, looks like a cross with a Rift Lake species.

    As I thought.

The first one came with the tank, so didn't have a clue what it was other than the fact it was a Syno.

I'm a little unsure if the one is S. nebulosa... but very well might be. If it is, according to PlanetCatfish, S. eupterus should grow to 22cm and S. nebulosus to about 15cm.

Hmm so the Eupterus better go in the Oscar tank sooner rather than later.

Yeah they do pretty well with Oscars actually, although I good hiding place is highly recommended just in case things get a little nasty.

If you read Small Fry's link, it says your other catfish fares pretty well with Malawis as far as aggression goes, so maybe it might work with your Oscars as well.

Yeah the Eupterus has prior Oscar experience so he can go back in there, since he is also much larger.

Will probably just end up swopping them around, if and when next it is easy enough to catch them...which is never...the little hiding bastards.
