Hey guys, so this weekend I started seeing some cyanobacterial slime in my tanks, this morning I found my pristella's tail fin half gone and white in the tips. I have started doing more water changes to get rid of slime, also filtered most of it up, but with this morning's discovery i am suspecting fin rot so I started treating with metrodiazole. Any more advice would be much apreciated, have lost one of my neons, but could not see much on him. This is the pristella

If it is finrot ( I cant be 100% sure) keep up with water changes, and i would add a couple of rooibos tea bags. The tea will boost their immune systems as well as help the regrowth.

Looks more as fungus to me (finrot eats away the fins very fast). You could use a med, but could start with waterchanges.

thanks. will keep it up, have not had another death yet and my plecostimus gibiceps is getting his color back. Got some rooibos tea in there, will see how it goes, my mosquito rasboras would like that as they enjoy tanin water
