We have been struggling with our water in the pond since the weather changed last year around spring time. Everything we used to try to clear up the water did not work. It's so green my dad even says it looks like pea soup... Strange thing is we scooped some water into a bottle and the algea sinks to the bottom of the bottle and the water is actually very clear. Attached is the water straight after we scooped it out and the second one is taken a day after.

Any ideas on what we can do? I am rather annoyed by the water that is not clearing up.

You could look into getting a pond UV clarifier

The algae floating in the water making it green is due to the fact that in the bottle with no fish, it settles at the bottom but in the pond with the fish swimming around, they stir up all the algae into the water column

Have you got any filtration going in the pond?
If the algae is floating around like that, strictly speaking, i would expect the filter to suck it up into the filter

Alternatively as @A new day mentioned, you could look at a UV Sterilizer

We have one of those biofilters with the UV lights in it, but the UV light kept tripping our power. There was a small water leak in that area so we haven't used it in quite a while. We should probably get the UV light going again cause we did have clear water when it was still working. Thanks for the replies

A UV sterilizer will make short work of that. My dad bought a house that came with a pond with no filter and the water was worse than yours, he had a filter and UV installed and within a few days the water was crystal clear.

I never had UV light in my tank and I got some sun shining into it since Jan when I noticed some algee spot on one side of the glass. I just wiped it off once a week BT then it started to affect my water and turned slight green to very green over a month. I installed the biggest UV light and after 6days my water was crystal clear without a water change.20200122_142758.jpg 20200126_153023.jpg 20200126_153023.jpg 20200127_195420.jpg 20200128_182355.jpg 20200128_193539.jpg 20200130_201918.jpg

A UV Steriliser or Clarifier definitely is worth it in the long run.
I also had a green water issue a couple of years ago, and invested in the UltraZap UV Steriliser.
Within 2 days the water was crystal clear, and I have not had any issues with algae to date.
