Can be used, though I don't love the stuff. If you ever want to use the decor again for another aquarium or setup, it can be troublesome to get off the driftwood/rock/etc.

I tend to use an elastic around the roots until the plant itself establishes. It might look a little out of place, but you can cut it off within a few weeks.

    Regards,

I use cotton thread. Don't even have to tie it just wrap it tight

I have also used it before but will not use again
As has been said its difficult to get off and also if you not careful once you put it in water it turns white and doesnt look so great to me

Cotton, elastic, fishing line and even thin cable ties work well

I use Q-bond super glue and I find it works very well. My dad buys it and if I need some I just lend some from him. It works quickly and if you use tweezers it's very easy and effective.

I use ghost cotton. It's commonly used in the fishing hobby so you can get some from your local tackle store. It wraps very easily and when you pull tite it seems to be transparent. In a few weeks you can either trim or the plant establishes over it.
