Alright i have done some basic research on sumps. But i have a few questions.

I have a 100l tank. Do i really need a sump (Read that its my choice).

Is there any step by step diy sump building for dummies?

I really need help on this one thats why im posting in the beginners side as i am still a small fish in this large ocean and have much to learn:p

For what size tank do you want a sump for?
Is the tank already drilled for a sump?
maybe a canister filter would be a easier way to go?
    just my thought..

For a 100L tank I would not go through the hassle personally of putting a sump in, unless there are predrilled holes etc already in place. A canister filter will be far easier and will do just as good a job as a sump. Also, depending on where your tank is situated, it would make more sense putting a canister filter on - you don't want to hear the running water when using a sump in your bedroom :) You'll be forever running to the loo :D
