Oooh I totally forgot about this. I managed to get some really good elderberries picked and I made medicinal syrup from it. @PierrÃ© Schoonraad so many people have forgotten the ancient ways of using natural medicine as a supplement and I really am grateful for being in the UK as I now able to source what I need from Mother Nature and leave the rest for the wild animals to eat.
These are european black elderberries (sambucus nigra), it grows everywhere but only little is left because the birds eat some of it. Just a word of warning, it is slightly toxic when in raw state form which is why you have to cook it at a very high temp to burn off the toxin.
