    Hey guys.

I'm putting together a DIY project, don't want to say just yet.

What i need to know is what size, or however you measure it in, pump i will need for this project. The pump will need to pump up atleast 10cm, down 30cm (Yes i know, dont say), into a tube that is aprox. 10cm wide and 30 heigh, pump up this tube and 60cm straight back into the tank. Might have given away wat it is.

Or is it better to have gravity 'pull' the water into this tube and then pump back in the tank?

But please try help me out with the 1st one.

    Thanks guy:bigsmile:

What you trying to do doesn't make sense. So you trying to use a single pump to push down and to pump up? Not gonna work....

To spec a pump, aim for a flow rate in lph. Measure your pipe work, add 30cm for 90 degree elbows and 15 for 45 degree elbows. Total of that is your head height, then look for a pump with the flow rate required at that head height

Well Troy, if you were to actually share what youe idea is that you are planning on DIYing, we would then be able to share with you what size pump you would need.

But by not telling us your plans... then every single answer you going to get is going to be a waste of your momney... because no one will be able to give a decent answer.

But then again... a 2000l/ph pump should do the trick.... whatever it is you are doing.
