I wonder if someone out there can help me with this problem. I have a severum tank, only severums.. Recently I bought a Redneck Severum, after two weeks my Banded Severum starts to chase my Red spotted golden Severum and all other fish. She/he wiggles and vibrate all around the Redneck deacon... I suspect they might want to breed???

If so..how long will it take for the agresiveness to go away , as suddenly my other fishes lives in fear and is in hiding...

    any advice??

If it's a male/female pair and they're acting the way they are, it's not likely that they'll stop anytime soon. They want to breed and they're just doing what is natural. In an aquarium, ideal breeding conditions are provided nearly 24/7 - clean water, good amounts of food etc. Therefore The fish are likely to want to breed most of the time.

They can get slightly or very aggro during this breeding time, and if you want peace you might want to isolate the pair from the tank and let them get going. Otherwise you can get a larger tank and allow the group to spread themselves out.

I am not fimiliar with Severums. What is the maximum size that they grow and what do they look like?

Oscarfreak, If you say that they're beautifull fish, I get curious.

Those are very beautiful fish. Oscarfreak is right, you are a lucky fish. You're going to have a lot of babies swimming around that will be just as pretty as their parents.
