    Hi Guys

One of the members the other day posted a link to a site (please own up if you are reading this as I can't remember who it was) which calculates stocking levels of your tank. I thought this would be a fun post. Here is the link: http://aqadvisor.com/

Note: In the beginning you can change your measurement to litres and dimensions to cm's and there are options for selecting the current size of the fish.

Please post your results on this thread. I will start...

I changed my fish sizes to their current size to see current stocking levels. If I calculate for the full size the fish get I am over stocked! Maybe we should post both (current and ultimate)?

I just calculated my 100l tank for 2 kribs, 4 albino corys, 8 white clouds, 6 lemon tetras, 4 kuhli loaches and a hoplo cat and came to 100% stock level. It recommended that I get at least 5 kuhli's but then it would be at 103% stock levels.

At least there's lots of scavengers, so I won't have a leftover-food issue on the gravel. Just a fish poop issue.

What do you do if your fish aren't on the list? (Brochis spendens and Boesemani rainbows in my case?) Pick something similar?

I don't take these websites too seriously.

They are good for a general guide, especially if you are inexperienced.

    But they are limited imo.

As @Reedfish says, don't read too much into the results. I just thought this would be a bit of fun...
