    Hi all,
I’m back in the fish tank game after being away for 3 years. Never been so excited in my life haha! So I currently have a 10g and want to stock it with WCMM. How many would you suggest and what other fish could I add? Maybe a couple of guppies? Cory’s? Shrimp? Bare in mind that I don’t have a heater for it, but my water stays consistently between 20-22 degrees. Any suggestions are more than welcome!

Cherry Shrimp may work hey, they'll live in cooler water and WCMM won't be able to eat the adults. Babies maybe, but with enough plants some should survive anyway. I have extra cherries I can sell cheap if you want, I'm not too far :)

In that tank I think 10-15 would be cool!

Does your tank stay at that temperature throughout the year?

Yeah my tank is in my room and it stays pretty consistent throughout the year. It would drop to 17/18 degrees at most in winter.

17*C to 18*C would rule out most tropicals

Tbh, 10 Gal is a relatively small volume of water.
IMO a small shoal of White Clouds is about it re stocking.

But why don't you get a small heater?
They are not that expensive, and it will increase your options.

That would work, and as long as you get a mix of genders with your shrimp, before you know it you'll have a lot more!

Any fish apart from Otocinclus will eat baby shrimp.
As a temporary measure I decided to put 4 Galaxy Rasbora into my Sakura shrimp tank.
The population of shrimp took a sharp dive and I couldn't understand why.
It turns out the Galaxy Rasbora ate all the baby and juvenile shrimp.
It took me about 3-4 months to get their numbers up again.

In a 10g tank I would house either just shrimp, or just fish, but not a combination, unless it was a very heavily planted tank, as your shrimp will struggle to breed successfully with fish taking out the shrimplets.

He's thinking of some basic sakura cherries from me. Up to him if he'd do shrimp or fish or both. I really enjoy my shrimp tanks, and fish too! Up to the man himself :)
