Hi guys. I just got a big 2000l tank that I'm gonna start setting up. I keep Discus but do so in bare bottom tanks. This tank i want to use as a display tank in livingroom. I need advise as to the best way to set it up for good plant growth. I will run a sump filter with a UV light on the tank. Please help!

Tx Troyfish, dont worry, took it up that way. The tank is 3.1m x 800 x 800. Yeh I want to run it like a sort of bio-type species tank. I can then use it to grow out the Discus nicely, and it can look incredible! Got the tank 2nd hand yesterday. I thought its a bargain at R5k? Crap is I have really never cared much to do research as far as plant growth etc. is concerned. So please see me as a complete idiot with this, ur more than welcome! I need ALL the info. I'm in no hurry but dont want to realise after adding the fish that the plants are gonna die because i didnt do enough research into the 'environment' best suited. It will however house Discus so keep in mind ph, temperature and water needs. Tx guys/gals!
