starting my first proper emersed setup

    So today I setup my first emersed setup have planted crypts anubias, hydro green (not sure if its the right name) Pearl weed , water wisteria , ludwigia depend , alternanthea reineckireinecki , amazon sword , ludwigia so Rubin ( still not 100% sure on the exact name of this one except that's its ludwigia) so I'm hoping they will all take and then start mymy next onetypes different types of plants so that in a few months time I can rescape my 65 gallon I tank

    Yes @Bradley Bunch and if I get it right going to start with hard to get plants or rare plants this is a learning curve for me

    Humidity is the key to growing plants immersed. i use fish tanks with a separate compartment filled with water and a heater cranked up high that way you will have very high humidity .

    @Aqua man I have it sealed just with a few holes will that also not bring up the humidity up?

    That's true @Aqua man will do that with the next emersed setup have a old tank lying around just waiting to get my hands on some different plants then will be able to see which one works for me

    I have tried and failed at doing this sooooooo many times, gonna tag along and pickup some tips.
    Now the guys in Durban seems to have the right weather for this trick all year round.

    Nice!!! I see you took my advice about the plastic sheeting and tape.

    I plan to do something similar in the near future. Just lack of funds at the moment, will have to wait and see.

    Matt uses a greenhouse, that's why his plants are so good. I want to build a small greenhouse too - that will definitely help a lot.

    Holding thumbs for you with the emersed endeavour.

    You might experience some problems removing the tape residue from the glass.
    That stuff sticks like mad, and usually leaves sticky residue.
    I would have used masking tape, that is easier to get off.
