Filled the tank tonight.... I also went with proper substrate. ( Seachem Flouride Black & Red, and ADA AquaSoil)
I must say the Seachem Red makes the water "muddy". I washed the substrate for over 30 min but it still the water was dirty.

I'll get some Seachem Clarity tomorrow, hopefully this will clear the water.

Yes I'm going too. My drift wood is still soaking so I'm waiting for that before I put more plants in... Also going to CO2 route.

Nice Dude. If you haven't already, turn the flat edges of these rocks towards the back of the tank.

Nice start. Remember with the ada daily 50% waterchanges for atleast the first week

Ouch! But will do, the Seachem Red also releases a lot of "muddy" sediment into the water if you disturb the substrate.

Will try to turn the rocks.... very difficult as they don't balance so well.

The art of illusion man. Jam a rock or something behind them that you wont see when the tank is planted. Rotate the rock standing up clockwise 90 degrees. Rotate the one to the left of that 90 degrees so it's lying with the flat face into the substrate. I hope this makes sense.

As for the flourite, mine doesnt do the cloudiness I tend to rinse mine in a bucket outside until the water runs clear. After that I have very little sediment. I have heard that the ada does also cause some cloudiness. So just give the water time to settle and the filter to clean the water. Dont bother with clarity.

Just wait til it settles and then do water changes until it clears

look really good. i think it will look better wehn you plant it up. i try keep the grain of the rock going in the same direction or slightly slanted, gives it a more natural look. a vertical peace crossing a horzontal one is a bit heavy on the eye, but that my opinion. maybe also look at raising the substrate a the back a bit to give it more of a mountainous landsacape.. just an idea.

Thx, will add some more substrate, as well as turning the rocks.
Anyone know where I can get some HC?
