Stand help

Hi guys, I bought a Boyu TL550 the original stand was a little dodgy so I costum made one. I made a pretty much an exact replica of the original stand .... I just added another support beam coming in the middle from top to bottom. I put the same poles in the same place. Everything seemed fine in my head until I realised I used chipboard and the original board is supa. Now if you know the setup the tank only puts weight on the outer rim of the stand and the weight does not go directly on the stand supports itself. So my question is would the chip board still be fine in strength? Has anyone done something similar with chipboard?

 

I have used chipboard before but I gave the cabinet alot of support, I actually built a frame and then added the chipboard. Suggestion would be maybe keep it as is but build it a steel/ wooden frame. Keep the existing chipboard and just screw that onto the frame. I would rather play it save than risking it. I for one wouldn't want to wake up in the morning with a collapsed tank.

 

Thanks @hein24 for the advice... I added 2 support poles and put another board of chip board on the top one ... So it's double now ...
