Stormer... People can help you here on the site, but they are going to need to know:

    1) size of tank
    2) Type of filtrate. (size, l/p/h, what media is used)
    3) Number of other fish + size
    4) Your weekly maintenance schedule
This will give us an indication of the quality of water.

    5) What, if anything, have you introduced new to this tank
    6) What, if anything, have you done different to this tank
    7) When last was your W/C and how much % did you do?
This will help us identify if anything was introduced, and what could have caused it.

    and lastly
    8) please give us accurate readings of pH, Ammonia, Nitrites and Nitrates.

I was going to say gaul bladder don't know why! Its super early ,swim bladder is in my opinion
What the problem is, but its not accurate unless you do what zoom said so we can find out what's really going on.

In the meen time I suggest you don't feed, and if other fish will attack her then move to a hospital tank with good water movement (airstone)

    Cheers

How about just testing the water ??? That seems to work.

Stormer you mentioned that you try 'lifting her up', is she lying on the substrate and not swimming around really unless you move her?

    1) size of tank
100Litre 92cmx33cmx38 (the filter takes up 15Litre space)
    2) Type of filtrate. (size, l/p/h, what media is used)
    internal canister filter 300lph
    3) Number of other fish + size
Only the male convict and their week old fry
    4) Your weekly maintenance schedule
This will give us an indication of the quality of water.
I change 50% water every saterday.

    5) What, if anything, have you introduced new to this tank
I recently took my jewel cichlid out of that tank but i don't think that can be harmfull.
    6) What, if anything, have you done different to this tank
    Nothing different
    7) When last was your W/C and how much % did you do?
This will help us identify if anything was introduced, and what could have caused it.
    Last saterday.

    and lastly
    8) please give us accurate readings of pH, Ammonia, Nitrites and Nitrates.

I don't have anything to test pH,Ammonia,Nitrites or Nitrates.

Okay this now confirms that it is a swim bladder disorder. Move the fish to a hospital tank if you have one, do not feed it for a few days and do frequent water changes, that usually works in my experience. Don't worry about her starving, fish can easily go 10 days without food.

Oh I forgot to mention, I only say move her to a hospital tank to make sure that she doesn't eat when you feed the other fish, not because it is contagious or anything :)

I don't have a hosptal tank,i moved my jewel cichlids there because they ate the fry,i can't put her there because when they were in the original tank they killed the other female convict.

That's going to make it a little more difficult. Perhaps don't feed the 'normal' food for a few days and then feed peas only in the morning which will help if the swim bladder disorder is caused through constipation.

The Male yes,The female you gave me got killed by the Jewels(she also had her fins nipped by the male),i went to the petshop to get another female and she immediately paired up with the male,i had to remove the Jewels because they ate the fry and they were having a few fights with the convicts.
