They really are! I have 3 in a 23l. They are very peaceful and interactive.

Thank you! They are great peaceful fish that make a croaking sound which is really cool.

They are nice, my male killed his buddies before croaking himself. Would be nice to try again.

You definitely should! You must of just got a bad one. I also have 5 much smaller Swortail fry (growing them big enough to give away) in there with them and they haven't bothered them at all. Plus all the research says they're peaceful.

Don't have tanks for more species right now, but definitely in the books for the future

Nano tank (25l), sponge filter for low water flow, heater set to 26C, heavily planted and preferably floating plants as supposedly they don't like bright light.

Got a few of them today and already I dig them.
In QT they settled almost immediately and look great - until you see them in person it's hard to imagine just how small they are - tetra sized!

Beautiful, characterful, easy to keep and cheap to buy. Not many fish tick all those boxes...

Get a bucket of water outside for mosquito larva and bloodworm as wel. It may be too cold currently but as things warm up these cultures should get going
