    Hi all,

I got some type of film on my water surface of my planted tank. Could it be my ceratophyllum demersum? I know it releases something in the water, to help keep algae away.

    Please advise

can also get it from over feeding and not enough surface movement

In Holland we call it a "kaamlaag". Had to do with your filterchange, are some dead bacteria and is harmless as Ryno said. Put the flow of your filter on the surface and it will dissapear. Greetz Aad

My spraybar from my internal sump is pointed upwards and it breaks the water surface, I just moved my one internal filter closer to the surface for extra surface movement. I will move it down again tomorrow afternoon :D:D
