Some fish pics

Here are few pics of my fish/tanks. Excuse the lousy quality pics. The big plant (not sure what it is) in the community tank is looking a little sorry for itself, had to move it from the oscar tank a few days ago after my O decided he was going to try rip it to pieces

In the third pic... LOVE THE BACKGROUND! What is it?
What is the pipe to the right of the tank for. (The one with the holes)

 

thanks guys. Zoom, the background is cork bark that I soaked underwater for few weeks before adding it to the tank. the pipe is filled with ceramic rings and connected to the outflow of one of those internal cannister filters(like the one in the left corner except it's black and difficult to see in the pic). My thinking behind it was that I can clean the sponge in the filter regularly and still have an undisturbed biofilter. Not too clued up on those sort of things but it seems to make sense to me anyway

 

Kewl idea there with the pipe dude.

I also like the wicker effect of the canopy. Very unique style you have there.

 

thanks man.i bought the tank second hand and the canopy came with it, i kinda like it as I've not seen too many others like it.
