Solar Pond/water feature pumps

    Hi. I was wondering if any one has bought a solar powered pump for a water feature or pond and could shed some light on how well they work and for how long. Also where is a good place to buy one. I know there are a few on takealot. And a tomtoop site but I am not sure if I should use them. The water feature is not that big so I I
    Don't think I need a very big pump.

    Only problem I can see with this is that the pump might not have battery back-up. So don't plan any live stock for the pond as the pump will only run in sun shine.

    I was also considering buying a panel, charge controller and inverter then just using a normal 220 v pump.
