The increase is something but what gets me is most of the money that was in reserve was stolen and the increase is to make up for that, and now what will happen is this money will also get stolen the only thing certain ppl are competent at is stealing what is not rightfully theirs.

At this stage I might be leaving the hobby pretty soon as we are looking to move to Australia beginning of next year due to all this political nonsense and eskom ripping us off. But I will probably start again when I have settled in.

i just have the 3ft, 4ft and a small desk tank. the desk tank might be added to the 4ft if need be. but its only a 25watt heater, cfl and tiny filter... the 3ft might go back to its original owner if he gets a suitable flat in jhb. its pulling a 200watt heater, cascade hob, air pump and 2x t8 lights. . the 4ft will probably be most power hungry with 2x t5 and 2x metal halide on timers. a 2500lph pump from sump and a heater. if i need to downsize/ it let the 3ft go.

I wont be downsizing but unfortunately I wont be getting the 500lt + tank I was planning as a new home for my oscar. The O will be going to a new home this weekend before it starts getting cramped in it's current tank. That does however mean that I will have a 250lt to play with once he goes.

I'll be downsizing by 11 tanks shortly, but not because of elect.

I bought a farm close to potch and will be breeding fish on a larger scale there. :)

The plan is to start with african ciclids, large scale fancy guppies, sword tails, etc...

And two big dams 1 for SA fresh water fish (vir hengel) and one for koi.

I also want to try and breed some geelvis as they are becoming quite endangered these days, especially since the last sewage spill in the vaal.

That is still a while away though as I first need to rebuild the house, get some solar / hydro power up and running, fix the road, set up a water cleaning system, and build a sceptic tank in.

Farm's close to Renovaal bout 40Km away from Potch on the river. :)

McClaw give me a ring I can help out on the water cleaning and septic tanks - depending on what you need..

On the EISHKOM subject - blackouts are very very probable in 2010 - 2012, only by 2013 will Madupe come on line and Kusile 3 years later (maybe ( the contracts have been placed but no go ahead yet for Kusile))

Thing that pisses me most is I was part of a group looking at optimisation in EISHKOM in 1995, all the proposals we gave were ignored, and all this KAK we have was known about and discussed then, and still they did NADA .................

    Hi Z

I'm lookng for a sceptic tank to handle approx 4 to 9 people per day.
and obviously some advice on the placement of the tank and leach field

Especially the leach field as I do not want the grey water from the sceptic to poison the ground water and enter the river.

I also need a grey water treatment system so that I can use this water to irrigate about 12Ha approx...

Do you have any idea where I can get a mini Hydro Electric system to compliment a solar Photo Voltaic that I will be installing?

Also a lead on some inexpensive DC water pumps would be great ;)

    MAN that's a long list!

PM me your number please :)
