I need some help making fish profiles for a database...

Would one sight the source of the information ? Most fish profiles sources are 95% similar but it is that 5%. Or why not put the effort into improving wikipedia's content and find a cool way of linking to it within TASA?

Cool, will pm you both. We have just under 200 profiles for marine fish, not so much on freshwater side.

lol i'll join Jenn on the editing side lol. a friend of mine and i sit and edit the signage from pick n pay their specials signs seem to have alot of spelling errors, especially the one near her house. she has a whole fb album dedicated to them. some of them are really funny, todays one was husky jilly lol

Guys I have added a few more profiles today. Not sure what category Rainbow fish fall under so I just put them under Carps??? I have asked people to send post some photos for us to use but I dont think that will be enough....

 

i think that half the problem why people are not addding profiles is that there is no obvious way to get to the database from the TASA homepage. you need to make a link to it in a much more visible area.

 

Agreed! I honestly didn't know that we had a fish database until I saw this thread.

@Skye01 That would be great! We need pictures and if you have time Info about the species in the picture. The photos have to have been taken by a TASA member...
