    Hi,

I got a problem - if someone can tell me how, this wont happen again
anyways, I have been finding these little buggers in my tank (dont know where the !!! they come from)
The last plants I brought were like 2-3 weeks back some pink blub thingy that my wife wanted and another
weird plant that I cant discribe did these freeking snails come with it too?

Is it ME or are the Growing up SUPER fast? cos I can inspect the tank and remove them on a daily basis at least 20
but my my my they spawn faster then anything I have seen
Anyway this is a picture that I have stolen off Google but looks like this anyway

Luckly for one thing, they are only in one TANK for the meantime, I dont want to have these buggers get into the new tanks coming

They're pond snails. Harmless, and good algae eaters. To get rid of them is a nightmare. But yes, they grow quickly.

I've read that, but my loaches doesn't eat them. Might they be too small? They are about 4cm long. What I sometimes do is to squish the snails I see on the glass and the rocks. The loaches and G. taeniata then comes and eats it I think.

I'm probably gonna get slammed for this but, You can clean you system completely and put all you gravel in boiling water to get rid of the eggs and also your plants will have to be checked manually with a lot of patiences. Or just get some anti snail drops...

Small loaches like that dont allways get the big ones....but they sure do get the little guys and the eggs.... So,over time you get a snail free tank without using chemicals... Squishing the big ones will speed up this process though - good fish food...

Ok guys, I did mention that I am removing
Them manually at least 20 every day or every 2nd.
So no, I don't want them, I know they eat excess food.
But I'm moving to much bigger tanks and I don't want it
    To become a breeding ground.
I am also very agents the meds, tho I have brought
Thousands of rands on them but not use it at once.
I must just say, I think I booked 4 of those loaches at petstop.
Then again I can't pick them up yet cos I need my double stack stand
I'm actully gonna go see the setup tommorrow at the
Workshop. So if the fish eat them then I shouldn't worry now.
Just getting annoyed picking these buggers - removed at
    Least 200 of them already

Take a lettuce leaf, pour some boiling water over it. Put this in the tank as bait and leave it there over night. Remove it the following day and hopefully you can get an extra few in this way. It does take time to get rid of all of them manually. Also check underneath any wood, rocks or other hardware you have in your tank. They like to hide under it.
