Silica Sand in Cape Town

    Absolutely no good in our tanks. Looks stunning.... but roots simply rot away in it. I used it once. We used it onces on a special concrete mix to get a glass finish instead of ricer sand.... lovely stuff though!!

    Ya the lady said it was like dust and that just sounds too hard to work with, did it not cloud the water excessively any ways? I would think that smaller particle would be very light in water and stirrup with the flick of a fish tail.

    No. No clouding at all. It was honestly the best substrate I've used. No washing. No clouding. But no good for aquarium. Anearobic bacteria bliss

    I wonder if it can be use in a Anearobic filter?
