    Hi

This is really strange to me. I have a young guppy (4 months) that appears to have its back broken(this is not genetics as I've culled all my misformed guppies a long while ago) any thoughts?

    Water temp at 24
Water parameters are unchanged for the past 4 months
I did recently do a massive re-scape however which included an almost 80 percent water change (thus was on Saturday)
The wood I'm using has been tested and used in another tank without problems before I moved it over.

It could have injured itself, otherwise it could be a long term issue that just appeared now. The faulty genes, or back condition, could have went unnoticed

I assume he was fine before the re-scape?Is there a chance that something might have toppled over and crushed him?

Definitely nothing crushed him everything is still as it was (all my fish were fine when I checked them this morning)
The scape is very sturdy 18ea38e29737939c4b02b880ddec2a04.jpg

If all the fish are ok and not showing any signs of being sick, i would alo go with an injury but how it happened i suppose is anyone's guess..

It could as @Hendre said be something that has been lurking but its very prominent to just become so bad overnight.. I would think thatif it had been lurking for some time, it would have been a gradual process

Update - this started happening to several of my young fish, but after increasing my temp to 26 the problem stopped (it was either an infection/parasite or too low Temps) all is good now.

did you add any fish recently?
2 of the pet shops I've been to in the last month lost most, if not all, of their guppies.
Saddle back seems to be the main cause.
    Check for signs.

Hi I will give some pics

The first few is just after adding plants, some weeks back and the second after getting my new Rams, the guppies are outside in a summer breeding tub at the moment (crossing fingers for some nice fry - but from the looks of it I have some bad genetics in them so will have to wait and see)

The roseline barb I got along with some other guppies from a friend who switched to Malawi cyclids.

No, the last Month I only added fish from a friend - all who are healthy, and now recently 3 electric blue Rams, (the same tank but the guppies were removed about a week prior) is saddle back transferable between species? Sure hope not, how would one go about combating it?
