    Hi all.
I have a tank of Bronze Cory fry that are about a month old.
Tonight I noticed that some of them have what seems to be white spots on them. One of the larger ones has what almost looks like cotton wool on some of it's fins. From what I have read, this seems to be Ich.
I am very still much a noob, and have never had fish that got sick before. How do I go about treating this? I have no idea where to start. From googling, many say that I should raise the temp of the tank by a few degrees and add some salt. Raising the temp is no problem, but I believe Corys are very sensitive to salt, so that's a no go.
Any advise and help would be very much appreciated.
    TIA.

    Hi Darryn
If it should be Ich than raising temp to at least 30 better 32C This is would be enough no salt needed. But carefull the warmer the water the less oxygen it can bind , so aerate the AQ well!.
But I would agree with the others it doesn't sound like Ich (alone)
    Pictures will help

    Thanks for all the replies.
On further inspection, it looked like cotton wool growths on different parts of the body, which led me (with my current knowledge) to believe that it was actually more of a fungal infection.
I ended up getting Fungus Clear fizzing tablets, which was recommended to my by the LFS. I put the tablets in on yesterday, raised the temp from 24 to 26 degress and it looks like they have worked. I lost 2 fish, but the rest (not all of them had the growths) look much better, even though my water is now a light blue colour.
Do I not just continue my normal water changes, or do I need to leave the water like that for a certain length of time.
In future, if I have similar problems, I will post pics. The only thing is trying to decipher how to use my wife's camera. She is a photographer and her camera is way too complicated. Even being in the IT industry, her camera has WAY too many buttons for me. LOL

All i know is get the white balance to Fluorescent or manually set the white compensation. Then if i remember correctly iso speed to 200 i think will get a fast pic of fish swimmin. or try a sequencial shot mode if you have it. i find sport is useless :) hope that makes sense

I haven't used this particular medication before but does the bottle say how long to wait before redosing if necessary? If it does, I'd only do a water change after that period of time just to ensure that the fungal infection is definitely gone completely.
