Sera Heater popped

    Hi all

    I had inspected all my tanks this morning. As I arrived at my 2ft shrimp tank.. I realized that the Sera 150W heater is open at the top and still heating up water. I immediately removed it from the power plug ..

    The heater was at minimum water level and just the top for adjusting the heat was above water level.. Any idea why this could happen?

    Was running tank at 22’c .
    Load shedding can damage electrical appliances but I doubt it could be the culprit.

    Thanks all, very true. Fitted a spare 150W Jager now. Shrimps are satisfied!
