I have a lutino oscar and a tiger oscar and they are fighting. They are leaving marks on each other. Does anybody know what i should do?
They are going to fight until dominance is established between them - as Henk says, this is typical cichlid behaviour. You may have one problem - If no dominance can be established they may kill each other - This very very seldom happens as one fish will normally give up the dominance..But I gotta give you the truth.
Ya the albino or lutino oscar just backs off when the tiger oscar goes for it. thanks for the info . I feel a bit better but i hope they don't kill each other.
its most def an albino - check the pink eyes.... Oscars and other large cichlids needs to be kept in laaaaaaaarge tanks....
I also learnt that on this site. I am waiting for the end of the month and then i am going to build a 1.8*600*600 tank. Can't wait, and also to find out what the guys mean by washing pool sand. Again i can't wait.
650L should hold them nicely.... they will move the sand around so dont get to attached to your aqua scaping....
Lol. i will try not. but after all that cleaning i think i will murder for for it. lol He isn't black its just not a good photo. used a camera phone. I think i am going to take better pics of them today.
Are they fighting as in bashing each other against the glass, or are they lip locking? Lip locking is pretty much normal for Oscars who "test" each other as potential mating pairs.
