Put some sort of partition in the tank to separate them

They are going to fight until dominance is established between them - as Henk says, this is typical cichlid behaviour.
You may have one problem - If no dominance can be established they may kill each other - This very very seldom happens as one fish will normally give up the dominance..But I gotta give you the truth.

I also learnt that on this site. I am waiting for the end of the month and then i am going to build a 1.8*600*600 tank. Can't wait, and also to find out what the guys mean by washing pool sand. Again i can't wait.

Are they fighting as in bashing each other against the glass, or are they lip locking?

Lip locking is pretty much normal for Oscars who "test" each other as potential mating pairs.
