Sandstone

Do anybody know what effect sandstone would have on the water in your tank if any?

Sandstone is the hardest rock you can get and does not degrade, it is very resistant to erosion. This is the type of rock that occurs here in the bigger Cape Town area and it does node break down, that is why we have such soft water. So if what you being offered sandstone which is used for swimming pool filters, in other words filter sand, this is fine for fish tanks as a matter of fact I use this in many of my tanks because it is so inert. You must however wash it well before using it in an aquarium.

Okay thanx allot i have allot of it and some have very nice form and looks water coroded. I thinl they will look vey nice in the tank
