    SAE or CAE?

I have no experience with the SAE, however be carefull with the CAE they become aggressive and attack\trouble other fish in most cases!

In my experience, SAE don't make much of an impact on algae.

I agree with Reedfish, my SAE prefers to wait until I feed the rest of my fish. It is nice watching him/her cleaning plants though

SAE eat your brown algae. Try finding your rmaller Ancistrus type species.

A Chaetostoma (Rubber Nose) Plec could also make an impact on the algae, but it will probably make an impact on your plants too! :afraid:
