Ive read that rooibos tea is good for fishes and that it makes the tank looks nice..

    Got 2 Q's

    1. Is there a period of time that the tea can stay in the tank(not the tea bags)

    2. Wont the tea stain my fish?

    Thank you
    Dennis

Basically you are making a type of "blackwater" with the tea, maybe buy a piece of mopani wood instead, gives same effect and is very healthy for fish, I don't know about the tea though....

[h=2]Nutritional and health effects of tannins in tea[/h]Tannins are a diverse class of compounds, and have diverse effects on health. Tannins are often considered antinutritional, as animal studies suggest they can reduce net metabolizable energy and protein digestibility. However, these same compounds often exhibit anti-carcinogenic and anti-mutagenic properties, probably due to their antioxidant activity. Tannins also have well-documented antimicrobial properties, effective against many bacteria, fungi, and viruses.

Many specific compounds within the class of tannins have other biological activity or medical uses, which include speeding of blood clotting, reduction of blood pressure, and effects on the liver and immune system.

    Your choice..
