I would rather float mine, otherwise I might forget about them.

Just remember, although its releasing tannins and anti-oxidants which are good for your fish, it will also slightly raise your pH. Just a lil heads up.

Reason there is no caffeine is because apparently rooibos is part of the legumes family.

I won't over do it and I don't know what my ph is, never tested the water before.

A dose of Neutral Regulator should take care of that. Yes?

Tbh i think it would need a lot to overdose lol. I find after putting it in, the tank goes a dark murky color and within about 3 days a nice crystal clear tea color.

Strange that your tank goes murky.
The tea is supposed to alter the colour of the water, without doing anything else.
If the water was clear, it should remain clear, just darker.

I don't think its necessary to stress about as the change according to most who have tried is only around 0.1 l, but just something to keep in mind for those attempting to lower ph

I have one tea bag per tank, 30l, 60l and 120l. Will maybe put more in the bigger tanks after a while if I am happy with the results.

I usually put around 2 per 100 litre to get the colour i like, but remove them after a day or so. Tbh you could literally just hold them in the tank and squeeze the bags out a few times and you would release a lot of the tannins.

I put 1 bag in my 37 litre and 2 (for starters) in my 200 litre.
What effect will this have on my Purigen?

From the purigen tech support i found this as a response to someone, " Purigen will only remove color bodies and excess nitrogenous waste. Purigen will not remove beneficial components, such as trace elements, nutrients, GH, or KH. "

    http://www.seachem.com/support/forums/forum/general-discussion/1971-purigen-and-tannins

So from this i would gather that the chemical effectsof the rooibos would not be affected but the visual effects would be reduced. Also the addition of the rooibos may clog up your purigen quicker. This is all the help i can give as i myself have not actually used purigen before due to financial reasons.
