I have a huge one here - really seems to be slag - the holes are bubbles from the molten ore etc..

Hi agree with Zafgak looks like slag. Brought just now 6 truck loads to our local dump.
But be careful if you want to put it in your tank. Often slag contains sulphor heavy metalls and other unwanted substances.:puke:

No no wait,I,ve ssen then in the eastern transvaal(Ummmm Mpumalanga) as well as in Warmbaths. It is not manmade slag. These rocks occur naturally in these areas. When you brak them apart they seem to be made up from smaller pebbles or pieces of rock.i imagine it might be something to to with lava as they are heavy and the outside seems to have been scortched .

Yes Slojo - A definite possibility - they are a conglomerate of harder igneous pebbles which have been encrusted in sediment. Commonly known as --- Conglomerate

    So to summarise

DS DG: What rock is this?
Zafgak: Well, it ain't a meteor.
DS DG: Yeah it is. It came out of the sky.
Zafgak: Well I'm sure it did but it ain't no meteor. It's a big ol frozen chunk o' shit.
    DS DG: What!
Zafgak: Oh yeah, see them airplanes they dump their toilets 36,000 feet. The stuff freezes and falls to earth. We call 'em Boeing bombs
DS DG: no that can't be. That's not what it is
Zafgak: oh, afraid so. See that peanut? Dead giveaway.
DS DG: Uhhh, no, that's a space peanut.
Zafgak: No, afraid not. That just a big ol' frozen chunk of poopy.
