road trip , suggestion and advice

So planning and plotting a road trip in nov, durban to capetown.

any suggestions on places to stay , preferably backpackers or camping.

route will probably be , durban to eastlondon , eastlondon to mosselbay , mossel bay to worcester.
worcester to capetown .

plan to leave durbs sat the 3rd , and be in worcester (got a distant auntie there who may let me stay a day or two ) , by the 6th,
7th will be linkin park ,
then 8 or 9th leave back for durbs.
would have preferred jhb , but capetown it is.
this will be by motorcycle. so travelling as light as possible.

yes i am one of those mad people who have been waiting for lp for a long time. so it will be worth it to me.

 

Did a trip in 2004 Oct-Dec from jhb to cbd by car with the DW (dear wife)

Go to the tourist office (i remember one in dbn cbt) & see if they still have a small pocket guide for backpackers.
It has all the backpackers lodges etc & also places to see. Dont remember the name. Its a very small book maybe A6 size
Worth the effort looking for it

At every major town i stopped at the tourist office & picked up brochures on where to stay.
Pretty much booked as i came into town. Picked up bargains since it was off peak.
Most places were empty.

 

hmm , thank yeah got some book from a mate that give coast coast b&b and campsite thing to see , pretty cool .
